A Big Hello From the Brooklyn-Based BurdaStyle.com Team!

We would like to introduce ourselves, explain to you what we've done and what are we doing at the moment!

About 2.5 years ago we launched BurdaStyle.com,  an international sewing community that revolves around sewing patterns, techniques,  and creative ideas. On the picture you see our team consisting of part- and  full timers, all based in Brooklyn, New York! Even though you see titles next to the names, everyone is doing more than one thing - We're a small team, so it's all about multi-tasking. We are happy to be a platform for almost a quarter million members that are the fuel for this special community.

We're looking forward to the merger with Burda Fashion and the newly named burda style print magazin (formerly Burda Mode). The new site will be based on the new BurdaStyle.com plattform which we just launched (!) and will include the best out of all three. We find that very exciting: The union means more patterns, techniques, members, help, inspiration and creativity!

Visit www.burdastyle.com and find out more about the Brooklyn team.

I'm looking how to sew random tucks and pleats in wedding/prom skirts to create the fullness. I've seen patterns, but am wondering what is the genius behind it. Any answers?

Hello I'm looking forward to the new ideas set in motion both with the company and the magazine. I hope you wonderful women will want to include men patterns once again to burda magazine. As of now my favorite fabric store no longer carries the magazine or patterns. "G street fabrics" in Rockville,Md.
'So much fabric so little time'. Thank you & best of luck.
